Set the Scene

When people think of relaxing and taking some time to themselves to unwind, Lavender is always an essential oil that comes to mind, and they aren’t wrong to think that. There are reasons why Lavender is deeply comforting, and that is down to its therapeutic properties.

Also known as Lavandula, this flowering plant is part of the mint family and is prized for its calming effects on the mind and body, and ability to lessen anxiety.

Apply 2-3 drops of our Support Lavender Pure Essential Oil to your diffuser, to create the perfect environment. Take moment to start focusing on your breathing: inhaling in through your nose and out through your mouth. Incorporating breathing exercises as our pure essential oil diffuses into the air will help to signal the brain to shift to it rest and repair mode.

Top Therapist's Tip:

Our Lavender is grown in the Alps and is also distilled there. Due to the high altitude the water boils at a slightly lower temperature, meaning our lavender maintains as much of its therapeutic properties as possible. As well as using it on your diffuser, you can apply 1-2 drops of our Support Lavender neat to bites, stings, burns and breakouts - ideal to have in the first aid kit aid kit as well as the make-up bag.

Run a Bath

Bathing is scientifically proven to help release muscular tension and help us enter a state of calm. Immerse yourself in warm water after applying a capful of our Light Relax Bath & Shower Oil to your chest, abdomen and lower back, trying to cover as much of the torso as possible. Aim to soak for a minimum of 20 minutes.

This blend is one of my favourites. I used it a lot when I was in my younger years, as a Saturday morning treat when I had a really chilled out day ahead of me. Using it now takes me back to that time, with great feelings of nostalgia – and that’s the smell and essential oils! It’s the kind of oil everyone needs, as you can use it in the evening after a busy day where you need to unwind but may still have things to get on with, so don’t want to be ready for sleep like with Deep Relax. Also, I find it useful for those that suffer from tension headaches, which are common at the moment where our screen time has increased in our day to day.
