Joining the global B Corporation movement in 2020 was an important moment in our history and confirmed our pledge to put people and the planet on the same footing as profit, and to make a positive impact for society and the environment.

"It's not just about being best in the world: it's about being best for the world"

Anna Teal, CEO

As a B Corp business, we are continually striving to use our business as a force for good: for our team, the planet and the people within it. And there’s certainly a strength in being part of a community on this same mission.

Our B Corp certification has unlocked an inspiring community that we weren’t privet to before. We are now able to unite with like-minded businesses, learn from each other and join forces on our aligned missions. As a collective, our influence to create positive change is powerful.

To start off the year as part of the B Corp community, we joined forces with 5 other B Corp businesses for our ‘We Are Stronger Together’ competition, each with their own inspiring missions to protect our planet and the people within.

Our Sustainability Movement

January started with a strong footing on our sustainable journey and we were awarded the Great British Brands 2021 Sustainability Award. We truly believe in building our brand on purpose and are delighted to receive this award which recognises the high standards of our environmental and social impact.

Here are the steps we have been making to further improve our sustainability efforts:

  • All our retail cartons use paper from 100% sustainable forests (FSC certified)
  • We have removed over 1.5 tonnes of plastic from our products in 2020. Recycled, recyclable and reusable packaging is used wherever possible
  • We will become carbon neutral across our direct company operations by 2023
  • We promote the most positive practices possible throughout our business model and operations, screening, assessing and verifying our supplies for their environmental practices so that we can set the new standard for social and environmental responsibility in our sector
